Can a duck fly international? The answer to that question will be decided by one lucky winner of the Ducky Wucky River Race, slated for May 21.
The Rotary Club of Wachusett Area is getting in on the fun, tickets for the Ducky Wucky River Race, a fundraiser organized by the Ayer Rotary Club. The top prize is dinner for two anywhere in the world, including airfare and two nights in a hotel.
“The club sponsors many events throughout the year, and raising funds is what enables us to do this,” said longtime Wachusett club member and Sterling resident Jack Chandler.
Tickets must be purchased by May 10, and are $5 for one duck entry, $20 for five ducks, and $40 for a flock of 13. Hundreds of yellow rubber ducks will be dumped into the Nashua River in Harvard on race day, May 21, and the first one to cross the finish line wins the dinner package. There are other prizes up for grabs as well.
